Itinerary
Day 1: Quenco – Sacsayhuaman
Visitors can choose to start the tour in the morning or the afternoon. It begins at the Qenqo Ranch, where you’ll meet the horse that will take you to Sacsayhuamán.
Sacsayhuamán is still an imposing structure, in spite of the Spanish conquistadors dismantling of the towers. This is an excellent place to learn about Inca architecture and masonry.
Your tour continues to Tambomachay, where you’ll find a series of aqueducts and waterfalls. Archeologists believe that the Inca built these fountains for religious as well as practical purposes.
